Gamecorner Quest
The 'Gamecorner' is an iconic site in the earlier generations, where players could spend coins on slot machines and other gambling games to try their luck at earning more coins. (Or they could purchase coins from the counter, or find a few on the ground).
Players could then exchange these coins for prizes, such as useful battle items or- more interestingly for us- Pokemon. Unfortunately, only Kanto's and Johto's gamecorners have pokemon available, but there's still plenty to shiny hunt. Yes, with enough soft resetting, you could earn a shiny prize pokemon from the gamecorners.
